Community
Corporate responsibility and fostering good relationships with all stakeholders is an essential part of Magellan’s emphasis on sustainable operations and developments.
Magellan’s focuses on projects that are expected to make positive, long-term and beneficial contributions to broad sections of the community and which are backed by the community.
We are actively involved in the communities of Wiluna, Esperance and Fremantle in a varity of ways. In Wiluna we are involved in community development through a range of programs and sponsoships which are detailed in this section and in 2009 we established the Magellan Community Fund in Esperance. You can view the projects that received funding in 2009 and 2010 in this section.
Magellan is also an active member of the Fremantle community via the Chamber of Commerce and support for community events such as Gimme Shelter held last year to raise funds for the homeless.
